• Solution: Milky oil usually indicates water contamination. Replace the oil immediately with a recommended oil type, such as Power Team AW46, and check for any further contamination. Routine oil checks are advised for prevention.

2. Load Holding Valve Test

• Issue: Load “creeps” downward after lifting.
• Solution: This could indicate a load holding valve issue. To test, lift the load slightly, turn off the motor, and set the directional control valve to “retract.” Wait a few minutes to see if the load remains stable. If it doesn’t, reach out to a Hydra-Tech service center for professional servicing. The counterbalance valve is not serviceable. 

3. Hose and Coupler Cleanliness

• Issue: Reduced hydraulic efficiency or contamination.
• Solution: Dirt in couplers and hoses can lead to performance loss. Before each use, thoroughly clean couplers and inspect hoses for signs of wear. Release any residual pressure by moving the control valve between “Advance” and “Retract.” As part of routine maintenance, regular inspections ensure a clean, efficient hydraulic flow.

4. Pressure Management

• Issue: Motor stalls due to trapped pressure.
• Solution: Move the control valve to “neutral” to release trapped pressure, then reset to “advance.” Regularly inspect components, including the hydraulic pump, and replace any that show signs of wear to maintain system integrity and prevent further issues.
