Once the equipment is jacked, the Safety Level is placed on the equipment and armed. If a jack stands, or the cribbing begins to settle, LED's indicate each 0.1° of tilt. At 0.3°, or approximately ½" of tilt across a rail car, an alarm sounds to warn personnel to stand clear until the problem is corrected.
